EDDIE-STAR

EDDIE STAR

Eddie Star is a singer/songwriter/guitarist who is best known for his work with the 90’s Rock/Punk band, Eddie Star & The Zero Effect. In addition to his own music, he has worked with several artists and bands including the 2004 MTV Battle for Ozzfest runner-up, Guilt by Association.

In 2013, Star’s catalog titles were re-issued, starting in March with the release of the single, “2017” along with a blistering B-side live rendition of the Stooges classic, “I Wanna Be Your Dog.” In July, Star debuted his new band, JoyBox, at artist William Quigley’s New York Art Gala, “The Pleasurist.”

To celebrate the release of his catalog, a video for the song “2017” was released last year with special guest appearances by Jesse Camp and Amanda Lepore. The video was filmed and directed by noted New York photographer, Marisha Camp.

JoyBox’s long-anticipated debut album titled “Informal Deviance” was released August 28, 2015 through Ton-Up.
